    A vacancy exists for a full time faculty position in statistics beginning September 2005.

    The candidate will have to develop research and teaching activities within the Institute of Statistics in the field of statistics and its applications. She or he will teach theoretical or applied courses, introductory and advanced. She or he will take part in the activities organised by the Institute (doctoral thesis, seminars, workshops and service activities).

    The candidate must possess a PhD in statistics, a significant scientific record proved by international publications and experience in one or several fields of application as well as in teaching at university level.

    The Department of Statistics and Applied Probability and the Department of Mathematics invite applications for an open level position, joint between the two departments. Starting date is 1 July 2005. The position is in a general area of Stochastic Analysis. Candidates with interest in Mathematical Finance are strongly encouraged to apply. Qualifications: research and teaching excellence and PhD in statistics, mathematics, or relevant field.
