The European Meeting of Statisticians (EMS) is the main event sponsored by the European Regional Committee of the Bernoulli Society. Its organisation is accomplished following guidelines, whose current version has been established in 2013. It is the main statistics conference in Europe. Statisticians of all ages and from all regions will meet to exchange ideas and discuss the latest developments in the broad field of statistics and probability theory.
CALL FOR EMS PROPOSALS
Bernoulli announces a call for proposals for the European Meeting of Statisticians (EMS) 2027 and 2029. The European Meetings of Statisticians are central events for statistics and probability in Europe and worldwide. The meetings should be the natural forum where all European statisticians and probabilists meet to exchange ideas and learn about the latest scientific developments. The EMS is typically held in June or July, a time of year that helps maximize attendance. However, timing may vary depending on the local circumstances of the chosen venue. The venue should be a location accessible to a large proportion of Bernoulli membership and European researchers.

The EMS will not be held in 2025 but will be held on 24-28 August 2026 in Lugano (Switzerland).
