International Day for Women in Statistics and Data Science

The Bernoulli Society is sponsoring the first International Day for Women in Statistics and Data Science (IDWSDS), an initiative from the Caucus for Women in Statistics (CWS) and the Portuguese Statistical Association (SPE). The online event will take place on October 11, 2022. There will be a place for both live and recorded presentations, in the spirit of the first Around the World conference.

The aim includes showcasing women's contributions to the field and connecting women statisticians and data scientists around the world. This is in line with other recent initiatives designed to increase women in STEM disciplines, such as the International Day for Women in Mathematics, and ISI’s International Year of Women in Statistics and Data Science.
