* The Bernoulli Society Awards Ceremony and General Assembly will take place on Tuesday July 10, 2012: 18:10-19:00, during the World Congress in Istanbul. This will be followed by a wine and cheese reception from 19:00-19:30. A more detailed schedule and agenda is available on the conference web site http://www.worldcong2012.org/

* 2013 International Year of Statistics. Check the link http://www.bs2013.org/ for updates and ways that organizations and individual members can engage in recognizing locally sponsored Bernoulli Society events in celebration of the special year 2013. * Bernoulli Society Prize for an outstanding survey article in Probability or Mathematical Statistics. A new committee has been assembled for Statistics articles.
